Term description:
This is the model that most of my current violins are based on. This one has a beautiful and highly prized ‘bear claw’ flame on the front. The last picture is one of Zanta Hofmeyr, the well-known South African violinist taking it for a spin. She loved it!

19th Century Mirecourt violin

Term description:
This violin is labled 'Copy of Nicolaus Gagliano, Neapanno 1717'. It was probably made in Mirecourt, France in the mid 19th century. It has recently been restored and is in perfect playing condition with a beautiful complex, mellow sound. It is sold with a case and freshly rehaired bow.

19th Century Violin

Term description:
This is an European violin from the 19th century. It has a strong sound and is suitable for an advanced student. There is some damage to two of the top corners, but this can be repaired and does not affect the sound. There is also a repaired crack on the back. The violin is sold with a basic bow and case.
